I somehow missed it when they posted a teaser-trailer for a sequel to Donnie Darko called S. Darko:
It's not clear to me from this what connection if any Richard Kelly, who created Donnie Darko, has with this. (Though S. Darko -- that's Samantha, Donnie's little sister -- is played by the same actress as in the original.) What is clear: it's straight to DVD. And it has Elizabeth Berkeley in it.

Wow, I have pretty much zero confidence in this movie being worth watching. Granted, I haven't watched your video but I did visit the IMDB page. A movie about some other unrelated kid having a similar time would be a better premise for me, though still bad. I really liked Donnie Darko, and I'll probably end up watching this at some point just out of curiosity, but I have little hope it will be good. Direct to DVD lowers the hope even further.

Though IMDB lists "Richard Kelly (characters)" as a writer, digitalspy.com says "Kelly, the writer and director of the 2001 Jake Gyllenhaal film, has distanced himself from the Chris Fisher-helmed sequel."
They should've cast like Robin Givens and Dustin Diamond and maybe the Steve Urkel guy, made this a true straight to video masterpiece.
