@lostepic - Thanks for trying to tell me what I was really asking, but I'm pretty sure my real concern was just wondering why all the movies I want to see this summer are coming out in a four week time span regardless of what they're based on. But thanks for telling me to deal with it. I didn't realize my idle question was such a burden on other people.

@kemper 2) May and July are peak sreen times and hollywood is in love with reduxs/reboots/sequels/spinoffs/adaptations/anime-to-animation/ etc... so deal with it. Your real concern is how many movies out of mainstream film have original scripts, that are not sequels, spin offs, reboot/redux, adaptations of literture of any kind books/comics/graphic novels etc.. That is why every time someone complains that film or internet films are going to kill literture I say "where are they going to get their source material since the best coming out is in written form."

Suggested blogging topics for Lev:

1) Watch Battlestar Galactica DVDs and comment.
.
2) Why are all the nerd movies coming out in May? (Wolverine, Star Trek, Terminator: Salvation, Pixar's Up) Will there be anything left in June or July? Will one of the movies suffer due to competition.
.
3) Obtain interview with Brian K. Vaughan (Y:The Last Man, Ex Machina, Runaways and now writing/producing for Lost) and find out how he got to be so freaking awesome.
.
4) Explain the themes and symbolism of Blood Meridian. (Not really a nerd thing, but I just got done reading it and I could use some help.)
.
5) Watch Battlestar Galactica again and comment on things you noticed that you missed the first time around.
