For lack of anything else to do while I was sick, I watched Raiders today. He looked pretty alive to me.

There's a whole community of new pulp writers out there (I know- I'm working on being one), but it's nice to see a tip of the hat (no pun intended) to adventure pulp here.

As long as there are no fridges getting nuked, I'll give them a try.
.
And any crime/mystery fans should check out the Hard Case crime site and books. Not all of the books are winners just from a story stand point, but there's some really good old school pulp-style stuff, and the covers alone are fun to look at.
.
Oh, and Battlestar Galactica. You know, just to keep the streak alive.

I'm not sure I entirely agree about there not being any two-fisted men's adventure stories out there. Granted, not as many, and probably not as good quality, but what about all those crappy John Gardner "James Bond" books from the 70s and 80s? And I'm not sure if there still robbing Ian Flemming's literary tomb or not, but if they are I'm sure whatever potboilers they're cranking out still fit the Gardner framework. Or what about those terrible Dirk Pitt books Clive Cussler keeps cranking out? I'm sure those are at least on the fringes of the two-fisted adventure genre...
