You, obviously, don't wear t-shirts as much as I do. Any t-shirt that's worth a damn in my collection doesn't make it to 10 years old before falling apart. :(

I guess my beloved Trogdor and The Cheat t-shirts would be good for my quilt... I kept from wearing those except to all but the most special occasions.

Love the idea though. I might have to think about this for my "car crap" shirt collection. Gearhead here. It's true.

It's funny how I never felt old, that is until I saw Matt's t-shirts. I had vaguely heard of Sammy Sosa, Yankovich, The Simpsons, Conan & Batman...the others I was clueless and did not want to bother Matt by asking questions, so I am glad he explains them all here. Contrary to what Matt says, he was not difficult to work with...his "thing" was...symmetry, symmetry, symmetry...I got that! I "got him" because I too have a Virgo/geeky/nerdy son just 2 days older than Matt. I must say the quilt was not finished when this photo was taken but it was finished enough for the grand opening of Hands-on 3rd. I still don't feel "old", on the contrary now I that I have read the blog I feel totally hip! or is it that my hip is hurting?!?!

My favorite things are The Simpsons, South Park, Conan O'Brien and Ricky Gervais' work. You work on The Simpsons, could have worked on South Park (I listen to GWF, which is how I discovered you), could have worked on Conan O'Brien and you are going to be writing the movie version of Ricky Gervais's books. You are superman.

Hail Selman

I did that 12 years ago in high school. The difference is that I was in a sewing class so as to avoid having to get my vocation credits in a less manly way? After you've finished your kilt, what do you make? T-shirt quilt!
