Its also been a long time since I have read the books. Looks like I need to do some fast reading before its aired. All the more to scrutinize its inaccuracies.

I find it interesting that a good majority of the cast from BSG are in a lot of USA/SciFi movies and shows. I refuse to call it SyFy due to their logic is ridiculous.

A-duhhhhrrr... Finally got it. That's what I get for not going with my original joke, "...it wasn't a Rorschach..."

Since we know that Lev and byron12 know each other off-line and that byron12 was the one who helped get the BSG avalanche started, I often get the sneaking suspicion that they're working us.

Lev - "I'm doing a post about Riverworld."

byron12 - "Oh, that's good. Throw in something about Penikett being on Dollhouse but don't mention BSG. That'll drive them nuts. Then I'll step in and fan the flames even more."

Lev - "Why are we doing this again? To get me to watch BSG? For the hit count?"

byron12 - "Nah. Just for funnsies."

Dennitzio: "I'm not sure what specifically I learned about sex from him, but I'm sure it wasn't Church Approved™"

Church: "No, I'm fine with them." (referring, I think, to Varley's Gaea books)

Come on Dennitzio, if you're going to be the one to shame the BSG crowd, you have to keep up!

The only way to view this post is as Lev taunting his devoted fanboys. There is no other way. Before this great Helo and Gaeta diss, peace might have been possible. But now, I feel a whole generation of posters must pass away before BSG can be forgotten.

I know exactly how you feel with Varley's Gaea books. I'm not sure what specifically I learned about sex from him, but I'm sure it wasn't Church Approved™. It didn't hurt that Freff's illustrations were practically porn - ooh, nipples! To this day I still see Halo as more of a riff on Titan than Ringworld, but I didn't know anyone who had read the books.

On an aside, if you ever happen to come across a graphic novel called "D'Arc Tangent" by the aforementioned Freff and Phil Foglio, read it. It's the best beginning to a space swashbuckler ever, and a sad commentary on how bad business decisions can kill great art.

Tamoh Penikett's been having problems with the ladies well before he met Echo. Dolls are a piece of cake compared to dating Cylons.

Didn't Syfy already do some kind of Riverworld mini-series a few years back? (When they were still Sci Fi.) Or did I just accidently end up in a different timeline where it hasn't been done before?
