I'd like to think that Sir Richard and I are homeboys by now, but several interviews later and I still don't have an invite to Necker Island.
Heh. Just kidding, Sir Richard.
Sorry about the audio, but the interview was conducted via Ustream and Skype over Wi-Fi.
To be quite honest, everything I spoke to Sir Richard about is old news, but if you skip to the 8-minute mark we get into Virgin Oceanic. As much as I'd like to go into space, I'd much rather dive down into the deep, dark ocean and see what that world has to offer. I can't even begin to fathom what's down there.
What would you guys rather do: ocean or space?

Space. Not even close. If I had the dough, I'd be buying a reservation on Virgin Galactic.
Man, I hope he pulls this off, it's frustrated me for years that someone like Paul Allen or Bill Gates hadn't used their fortunes to start up a private, commercial space operation, ala D.D. Harriman from Heinlein's books. The initial investment is obviously much bigger than Heinlein envisioned, but he was right about the other end -- the potential profits are essentially infinite.

No way, dude. I'd much rather go down into the ocean and see what creatures are lurking around.
