2009 is over. The decade's done. And after a slew of games were delayed from this holiday season, now we look ahead to 2010.
But when I was writing this list, I found it hard to narrow it down to just 10 games; there's a lot of good stuff coming out next year. So I decided to split it the list into two: the tried-and-true franchises with quality follow-ups on the way, and new intellectual properties that will no doubt warrant their own set of sequels one day.
First up, the sequels. (And don't worry: there isn't a Guitar Hero game on this list.)
I've almost forgotten Starcraft II would be split in three. And I'm regretting I never completed Mass Effect.

I'm a little disappointed that Bad Company 2 didn't make the cut, but other than that, this is a very good list.

Quality list, though I would quibble as to how much Metroid qualifies as a "sequel" - as far as I know, it is made by an outside developer, shares no code, and is a mostly different playstyle than the previous game. That all strikes me as more re-invention than sequel.

Nice, Dead Rising 2 on the PS3. I hope they still let you take pics; I was excited about that element with Afrika until the game turned out to be something of a disappointment.

What no diablo 3?? kinda disappointed that you didnt list that. But out of those 10, final fantacy definitly is the one im waiting for.
