Joe Hill -- of Heart-Shaped Box fame, and various other fames (including imminent Horns fame) -- has started on an epic meme on Twitter, hashtag #mygeekpeak. The theme being, in the words of the founder, "where you cop to your geekiest moment ever. If it isn't a li'l embarrassing you aren't trying"
Hill's opening sally -- "at 13, I had it bad for Kitty Pryde. Also used to read role-playing game manuals for fun" -- is impressive, but has already been topped 100 times over. A sampling follows (names omitted to protect the geeky):
-- As a kid I set my Millenium Falcon on fire and threw it down the garden. Few months later they released Battle damage stickers.
-- i was so excited when Badger #1 from capital comics came out i read onto cassette w/ dif voices for best friend & sent in mail
-- My fiancé and I are having a CosPlay engagement photo shoot.
-- Brought a handmade staff to school carved with Balin's tombstone inscription. In dwarven runes.
-- When I was 16 I forged my mom's signature and got a tattoo of a fictional werewolf tribe from White Wolf's RPG "Werewolf"
-- Learned how to speak backwards like Zatanna 8th grade in case saying spells like that actually worked.
-- In fourth grade, I mowed lawns all summer to save enough to buy a die-cast Voltron. http://bit.ly/5rKTiq
-- Arguing whether an acroyear's energy blade was hot...and whether blood-steam would be red.
-- Recreating the Liberator flight deck (from Blake's 7), complete with cardboard box consoles with pushpins.
-- I made a fake passport for my life-size Yoda puppet so when we flew he could sit with me.
-- I was 9, ran around my neighborhood with a paper plate, that had blue circles drawn with crayons, taped to my back. TRON

I don't twitter, but here goes...
My name is Chris, and my younger brother's name is Sean. When we were young, we used to play Transformers. I was Opti-Chris Prime, and he was Mega-Sean.

My brother and I built a Lego replica of Hogwarts, hid it in a corner of his room, then held secret meetings (little sister excluded) to talk about when our invitations to wizarding school would come. STILL WAITING FOR THAT OWL.

Don't have many good ones. When my fiance and I were at a powow in Montana, we saw some rabbit fur pouches. Our first thoughts: dice bags.
Techland needs more RPG discussion.

I've planned my vacations for the last three-ish years around books... and convinced my poor husband to come along for most of them. *snicker*

At lunch, my friends and I discuss the best ways to slaughter people. Using super powers, your fingers, or random objects. We even came up with the idea to do a blog, a podcast, and a vlog centered around being a Cannibal.
Oh how I love ninth grade lunches.
Did I also mention that when we're not totally like planning deaths, we're playing Magic: The Gathering. (Hooray for Sliver decks.) Coolest lunch table ever, no?
