At first, it's difficult to believe that only the characters in these photos were the work of any special effect-meddling.

beautiful or potentially worrying? I agree that the images are stunning, but is this not another example of Dubai's over-zealous ambition to build higher wider higher wider etc? On a recent visit to Dubai, there were parts of the skyline I couldn't see due to the pollution... bad times for such a beautiful landscape..
