LOST Revised: Watch The Sixth Season Of LOST Without Alt-Reality

For some, the series finale of ABC's LOST is still an oozing source of anger. This guy makes all other pissed off LOST guys look Island agnostic.

"A lot of people invested a lot of time and energy in following LOST over the years. I was one of those people. A lot of people were satisfied with the way the series ended. I was not one of those people."

The LOST Revised Project, a so-far anonymous fan boy initiative to erase all of the "Alt-Sideways" universe from the series' final season, has begun to do just that. Launched just this week, episodes 1 & 2 have already been posted to the site, with promises of an alt-reality episode 3 to follow soon.

In a lengthy explanatory blog post, the site's creator described the story arch of the sixth season (when it came to alt-sideways) as a cliched gimmick. "The entire conceit of the sideways world was to bring all of our heroes together again in the afterlife - one of the most cliched storytelling devices there is. Sure, there was a spin on it, but the whole idea that “there is no now” in the afterlife came across more as a cheat than a genuinely interesting twist."

Though I was (mostly) satisfied with the finale, I have to admit this guy's passion has really piqued my interest. I may have to invest. Who's in for round two?

  2. i bet that will be so satisfying to watch how well the actual story worked when its altogether and not broken up by the technical end of the series whole timeline

  3. I chewed on the end of LOST for a solid day but in the end I was satisfied and the best part of LOST was indeed the sideways story. I for one told people to remember the show is called LOST, not ISLAND, not DHARMA. Beating the bad guy or getting off the island or whatever else was envisioned wasn't the point.

It wasn't about what happens in life, but who we choose to be with the life we have and the relationships we cultivate. I find LOST much more cliche and the same old story without the flash sideways. I just feel bad for people who didn't get that.

  4. The flash-sideways would've worked better if it had worked into the regular story line. This means the time in the flash-sideways would've need to jump ahead 3 years after the plane landed, b/c all the people were seeing stuff that happened to them on the island over those three years when the plane crashed. Do I know how the writers could've worked the flash-sideways into the regular main plot? No, b/c I'm not as smart of a writer as Damon and Carlton. The flash-sideways twist wasn't the "ZOMG!!!!!11" moment many fans wanted, but it could've been much worse. And I agree w/ toochivalrous (how can you be "too chivalrous"? I guess holding a door open for a lady or pulling a chair out for her is "lost" [LULZ, see what i did there?] this day in age) that many people didn't get it and also probably built up the ending too much in their minds

  5. Why does there need to be a special "project"? Couldn't you just watch and fast-forward through those parts?

  7. Lost is dead to me. I don't care about any fan revisions or spin-offs. Like the memories of a bad relationship I will reserve my anger for when I get drunk and go of a rant.
